When Prince Harry wed Meghan Markle on May 19, the day was full of beautiful gestures and sweet moments. Perhaps most poignantly, Harry found several special ways to include his late mother, Princess Diana, in his big day.
Meghan’s bouquet included some Forget-Me-Nots, one of Diana’s favorite flowers – and so aptly named. In addition to those flowers, she carried blooms that Harry had picked himself from the private Kensington Palace garden.
After the wedding, as the couple headed to their reception, royal watchers noticed something familiar on Meghan’s hand. Harry had gifted her with his mother’s stunning aquamarine ring – the perfect “something blue.”
But the ring wasn’t the only thing people noticed.
As the couple left for their reception, Harry opened the door of a convertible Jaguar for his bride and then they took off together.
Most people probably wouldn’t pay too much attention to the license plate of the vehicle, but some eagle-eyed watchers noticed something familiar about the numbers on the plate.
Did you see it? The license reads E190518 – the date of their nuptials!
Having the date on the license plate was a small detail, but such a sweet one!

The newly married duke and duchess aren’t the first to have a little fun with their getaway car. With Prince William and Catherine wed, their vanity license plate read “Just Wed,” which we think is just as sweet!
At the reception, Harry and Meghan were able to relax and let loose, enjoying the evening with 200 of their closest friends and family members.
Attendees said Harry was very effusive and “off-the-cuff,” conveying his gratitude to their loved ones and overflowing with love for his bride.
“It was very off-the-cuff, which was lovely,” one guest, who also attended William and Kate’s wedding, told PEOPLE. “He promised that all the Americans wouldn’t steal the swords and said, ‘Please, when you leave, be quiet as you don’t want to wake the neighbors,’ which was quite fun.”
“It was more than you would ever imagine it to be,” the guest continued. “It did feel like we were really part of their very special occasion. It just felt about the two of them, which was great.”
We wish this royal couple all happiness and love as they start their lives together!
The Duke and Duchess would like to thank everyone who took part in the celebrations of their Wedding.
They feel so lucky to have been able to share their day with all those gathered in Windsor and those who watched on television across the UK, Commonwealth, and around the world. pic.twitter.com/RSa9ukqxLF
